Experience the Eiffel Tower
Few monuments suffer more from their own familiarity. Then you stand underneath the Eiffel Tower and the distant silhouette becomes an enormous iron structure rising above the Champ de Mars. Give it time: see it first from a distance, approach on foot, stand beneath the ironwork and, if heights don't trouble you, go up.
Then find it again after sunset. The illuminated Tower belongs to an entirely different Paris from the one you visited during the day.
